Exodus
20 Moses spoke to the people: "Don't be afraid. God has come to test you and instill a deep and reverent awe within you so that you won't sin."
A deep and reverent awe!
Such a strong statement.
Achieve it and overcome sin!
Simple?
Not so much!
Deep:
-great in measure; intense; extreme
-heartfelt; sincere
-not superficial
-difficult to penetrate
-coming from far down
-extending far down from the top or surface
Reverent:
-a feeling or attitude of deep respect tinged with awe
Awe:
-an overwhelming feeling of reverence, admiration, fear, etc., produced by that which is grand, sublime, extremely powerful
-power to inspire fear or reverence
Something to strive for.......
